A report claims that Arsenal pair Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are targets for Barcelona, despite the Catalan club's financial problems.

Barcelona are eyeing up Arsenal pair Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, according to a report.

Ronald Koeman has made clear that he is looking to add another striker to his squad before the transfer window closes following the shock departure of Lionel Messi.

The Catalan giants' well-documented financial issues mean that they are unable to bring in any new players until others are sold.

However, having finally registered Memphis Depay and Eric Garcia thanks to Gerard Pique taking a substantial pay cut, Barca are said to be confident of making more signings.

Spanish outlet Sport suggests that Aubameyang and Lacazette, who missed Arsenal's loss to Brentford on Friday through illness, are two players being targeted by Barca.

Lacazette has one year remaining on his Emirates Stadium contract and is apparently open to joining Barca, as is Aubameyang, who is under contract until 2023.

The report indicates that a player-exchange deal is another possibility, with the La Liga side eager to get rid of some fringe players.

Barca snapped up Sergio Aguero on a free transfer earlier this summer, but the Argentina international is out for 10 weeks through injury.
