Arsenal 'close to announcing Mathieu Debuchy arrival'

Arsenal are reportedly close to announcing the arrival of Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United.

The French full-back has been heavily linked with the Gunners following Bacary Sagna's free transfer to Manchester City.

According to ESPN, Debuchy's move to the Emirates is expected to be confirmed 'imminently' due to Newcastle edging closer to the signing of Feyenoord defender Daryl Janmaat.

Arsenal have already signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, and are also said to have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for midfielder Sami Khedira.
