Arsenal ready to make Mario Gotze swoop

Arsenal are ready to make a £30m in January for Borussia Dortmund forward Mario Gotze.

The Gunners hope to get a deal sorted before other European clubs put offers on the table, according to The Mirror.

The move will also act as a statement of intent to the likes of Robin van Persie, who hasn't signed a new deal with the club.

Despite Dortmund telling Arsenal that Gotze would not be leaving, the 19-year-old is thought to be keen on the move.
