Arsenal interested in signing Juventus defender Daniele Rugani?

Daniele Rugani's agent Davide Torchia has revealed that Arsenal have shown an interest in the Juventus defender in the past.

Rumours are rumbling that the Italian could leave the Serie A giants in the summer due to his failure to cement a regular spot in the team.

The 23-year-old has started 12 top-flight matches and one in the Champions League so far this season.

"Rugani is an international player. He could play in any league, so also in the UK," Torchia told The Sun. "He's young. Elegant in the way of playing. I know that various top European top clubs follow him.

"Some are English. Arsenal? In the past, some seasons ago, we spoke with them. At the moment there is no official contact with them."

The defender joined Juventus in 2013 from Empoli.
