Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United reportedly still hold an interest in Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, even though the winger has recently signed a new long-term contract.

Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United reportedly still hold an interest in Borussia Dortmund youngster Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, even though the winger has recently signed a new long-term contract.

Last week, Dortmund announced that the 19-year-old has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal that runs until the summer 2028.

Bynoe-Gittens has been rewarded for his growth into a first-team player with BVB where he has made 29 senior appearances since joining the club from Manchester City in 2020.

The London-born winger was plagued with a shoulder injury for much of last season but he still managed to make 20 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions, scoring three goals, and he has since featured five times this term.

Dortmund consider Bynoe-Gittens as one of their next rising stars who can develop further into a key player for the club in years to come, and hope that his new contract will fend off interest from potential suitors.

However, Bynoe-Gittens's new deal has seemingly not quashed interest from his native England as Bild, via the Metro, reports that Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle are all still keen to recruit the youngster.

The report adds that Gunners are currently at the front of the queue for his signature, but any potential move for the winger is not expected to take place until at least next summer.

Nevertheless, the Premier League trio will continue to monitor the progress of Bynoe-Gittens in Dortmund's first team as they ponder making a move in the future.

Dortmund have had plenty of success with recruiting English talent and providing them an opportunity to thrive at first-team level, most notably Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho over the last few years.

Bynoe-Gittens is thankful to have received regular first-team football with BVB and believes that he is at the right club to "take the next step" in his career.

"I am proud that Borussia Dortmund have given me the opportunity to sign such a long-term contract," Bynoe-Gittens told the club's official website. "Even during the difficult times for me in the past months due to injury, I have always felt the belief and trust of the club.

"I feel incredibly comfortable in this team, in this city, in this stadium. BVB were always my first point of contact because they have shown over many years that they give young players playing time at the highest level, if they perform convincingly.

"I wish to take the next step together with my club and want to help my team on the pitch with goals, assists and hard work."

Bynoe-Gittens is currently away on international duty with England's Under-21s and is hoping to earn his second cap after making his debut last month.
