Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Wolves

Arsenal make a long-awaited return to action when they travel to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in Thursday's Premier League battle.

The Gunners' most recent game saw them held to a 0-0 draw by Burnley before they waved goodbye to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on transfer deadline day.

Mikel Arteta's side have lost a bit of ground in the race for Champions League football, but the sixth-placed Gunners are only two points off the top four with games in hand.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Wolves

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Africa Cup of Nations Possible return date: February 10 (vs. Wolves)

Mohamed Elneny recently claimed a runners-up medal with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, and it remains to be seen if the midfielder will be in the right physical and mental condition to play on Thursday.

Cedric Soares

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Hip Possible return date: February 10 (vs. Wolves)

Cedric Soares suffered a hip problem in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-finals at Anfield against Liverpool, but he is thought to have a good chance of returning this week.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: February 10 (vs. Wolves)

Takehiro Tomiyasu has been struggling with a calf injury for the past couple of weeks and was not pictured at the Gunners' training camp in Dubai, so he is more of an uncertainty for this one.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match, with Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey both back from their respective bans.
