Arsenal reportedly identify Christophe Galtier and Brendan Rodgers as two more potential successors for the under-fire Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Leicester City's Brendan Rodgers and Nice's Christophe Galtier as two more potential successors for Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners got off the mark for the new Premier League season with a scrappy 1-0 win over Norwich City at the weekend, and the Arsenal board are believed to be keeping the faith in Arteta for now.

However, the Spaniard remains the bookies' favourite to be the next manager sacked from his post, and Arsenal have supposedly drawn up a shortlist of candidates to replace their former midfielder should he be relieved of his duties.

Graham Potter and Thomas Frank have both been linked with the role, but according to journalist Ian McGarry on the Transfer Window Podcast, Rodgers and Galtier are also being looked at.

Rodgers rebuffed Tottenham Hotspur's attempts to prise him away from Leicester last term, and the FA Cup-winning manager is under contract at the King Power Stadium until the summer of 2025.

Meanwhile, Galtier propelled Lille to the Ligue 1 title last term and has since enjoyed a stellar start to the campaign with Nice, claiming seven points from three games in charge.
