Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Arsenal could line up for Friday's friendly clash with Nuremberg.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could hand Gabriel Jesus his non-competitive debut for the club in Friday's friendly with Nuremberg at the Max-Morlock-Stadion.

The Brazil international has joined the Gunners' travelling party after his £45m move from Manchester City, but Eddie Nketiah has hit the ground running in pre-season with a hat-trick against Ipswich Town.

Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu, William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard have been nowhere to be seen in the training pictures, while new signing Fabio Vieira is working his way back from a foot issue.

Bernd Leno is seemingly on the way out but could still start the first half over Matt Turner, while Hector Bellerin is likely to be given the nod on the right-hand side of the backline.

Rob Holding and Ben White are both available in the heart of defence, and it would not be surprising to see Arteta take a chance on 17-year-old Lino Sousa at left-back as Kieran Tierney continues to build up his fitness following a knee operation.

Albert Sambi Lokonga and Mohamed Elneny will likely operate as Arteta's double pivot with Emile Smith Rowe just ahead of them, and the Spaniard has some key decisions to make in the attack.

Nicolas Pepe and Reiss Nelson both started in the friendly win over Ipswich and could do so again here either side of Jesus, leaving Nketiah and new boy Marquinhos waiting for their opportunities off the bench.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Leno; Bellerin, White, Holding, Sousa; Lokonga, Elneny, Smith Rowe; Pepe, Jesus, Nelson
