Jack Wilshere is considered fit enough to make the Arsenal bench against Norwich City to return to the first-team squad for the first time in 14 months.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has made his return to the first-team squad after 14 months out to be named as a substitute for the trip to Norwich City.

Wilshere is on the bench alongside Serge Gnabry, who is part of a Gunners Premier League squad for the first time.

Wenger is forced to make a change at left-back with Kieran Gibbs out with a thigh injury, meaning that Andre Santos starts a league game for the first time this season.

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is able to name central defensive pair Sebastian Bassong and Michael Turner together for the first time.

Wes Hoolahan and Anthony Pilkington also return, with Grant Holt leading the line as a lone frontman.

Norwich: Ruddy, Russell Martin, Turner, Bassong, Garrido, Elliott Bennett, Johnson, Hoolahan, Tettey, Pilkington, Holt. Subs: Rudd, Snodgrass, Howson, Jackson, Surman, Morison, Ryan Bennett

Arsenal: Mannone, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Andre Santos, Ramsey, Arteta, Cazorla, Gervinho, Giroud, Podolski. Subs: Martinez, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Djourou, Coquelin, Arshavin, Gnarby
