Wilshere could return in six weeks

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could be back in action in the next six weeks, according to The Mirror.

The 20-year-old is said to be making steady progress in his recovery from a second stress fracture in his foot.

He had missed the entire season to date with a separate foot injury, but the second stress fracture in the midfielder's heel emerged after he had returned to light training.

Wilshere is keen to prove his fitness before Euro 2012, however, and his scan has reportedly been brought forward to this week.

Wilshere has five England caps to his name.
