Jack Wilshere: Sol Campbell is a "legend"

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has described Sol Campbell as a "legend".

Former Gunners and England defender Campbell brought an end to his 19-year playing career earlier today, despite admitting that it was a "very difficult" decision to make.

Reflecting on the contribution that his former teammate made to the game, Wilshere was full of praise for the 37-year-old.

"So Big Sol has retired! What a career. There is the true meaning on Legend!," Wilshere wrote on Twitter. "Thanks for everything Sol.....proper Leader!"

Campbell had two spells with Arsenal, amassing over 150 appearances in the process.
