Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has challenged his side to "bounce back" when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby next Saturday.
The Gunners fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City last time out, but must wait two weeks to come up with a response against their fiercest rivals due to the international break.
Wilshere acknowledged that Spurs have developed into a "great team" in recent seasons, but is still eager to show that Arsenal remain the dominant force in North London.
"They've come a long way in the last few years. They finished above us last year, and we want to finish above them this year," he told Sky Sports News.
"But it's not all about that, we don't just look at them. We want to finish as high as we can. We know it's going to be a tough game. It's at the Emirates, so we have to take the game to them.
"We'll see. You're only as good as your last game. We lost our last game and we need to bounce back. It's a massive game, and we're looking to get three points. We'll be ready for it."
Tottenham finished above Arsenal in the table for the first time in 22 years last season.
