Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini near fitness ahead of Stoke City clash

Arsenal midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini are nearing fitness and could play against Stoke City on Sunday.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that midfielder Aaron Ramsey could be fit to face Stoke City this weekend after a spell on the sidelines.

The 24-year-old hasn't featured for the Gunners since they beat Galatasaray in the Champions League a month ago due to a hamstring injury.

However, Wenger has said that that the Welshman is nearing fitness, along with French midfield partner Mathieu Flamini.

"Mathieu Flamini could be back, Aaron Ramsey has a little chance. Nobody else," he told reporters.

"Mikel Arteta will be longer. I think Flamini should be available for selection and maybe Ramsey has a little chance to be back."

Ramsey has scored six times in 23 appearances so far this season.
