Wenger plots title challenge

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that his side can win the Premier League by playing attacking football.

The Gunners have paid for a slow start to the current campaign as they failed to challenge Chelsea for the championship, but they have been the form team since the turn of the year, taking 37 points from 42 available in 2015.

It has been suggested that Arsenal lack the defensive steel required to win the league, but Wenger believes that they should not look to alter their attacking philosophy.

"We can win, of course we can win," Clubcall.com quotes the Frenchman as saying. "We have done it before. Manchester United have done it [by playing attacking football]. Plenty of teams have done it.

"It is how well you play, the kind of game you play. For example, you don't question Barcelona about the way they play football.

"But if they start to lose games you will question 'Are they not too naive?' But when they win you don't question it of course."

Arsenal last won the title in 2004.
