Arsene Wenger is unsure what his next career move will be following his departure from Arsenal but admits that he "cannot imagine life without football".

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has remained coy about his next career move but admits that he "cannot imagine life without football".

The Frenchman announced last month that he is to bring his 22-year spell in North London to an end once the 2017-18 campaign finishes.

Wenger has not hinted towards retirement, leading to speculation over his next step in the game which includes talk of a stint at Paris Saint-Germain.

Although the 68-year-old is still unsure of what he is to do once he leaves the Gunners dugout, he will not be turning his back on football.

"I don't know [about a break]," Wenger told Sky Sports News. "Maybe after three weeks I'll tell myself not to be stupid and get back to work. I'm completely open at the moment.

"I cannot imagine life without football, even if I don't work I will watch football every day. That will not change."

Asked whether he would ever return to the Emirates Stadium, Wenger replied: "Of course, why not?

"First of all I have to decide what I do in the future and take a bit of distance because the intensity I've had over the last 22 years demands a little bit of reflection."

Wenger's last home game in charge of Arsenal takes place on Sunday, with Europa League-bound Burnley up against the Gunners.
