Arsene Wenger: 'Eden Hazard wasn't feasible for Arsenal'

Arsene Wenger reveals that he has 'no regrets' over not being able to sign Eden Hazard, insisting that the Belgian was 'not feasible financially' for Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has revealed that he has 'no regrets' over not being able to sign Eden Hazard and has insisted that the Belgian was 'not feasible financially' for Arsenal.

Hazard completed a £32m move to Chelsea in 2012 but was linked with the Gunners during his time at Lille, with his initial price proving too much for the North London club.

"I have no big regrets because – at the time – there was so much money involved we could not afford it and not defend it, honestly," the Frenchman told reporters.

"It was not feasible for us financially."

Hazard and Chelsea make the trip across London to the Emirates on Sunday, with Mourinho's side looking to extend their gap at the top of the Premier League table.
