Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger 'worried' about managerial merry-go-round

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that the managerial merry-go-round is "worrying" for the Premier League following Tim Sherwood's Tottenham Hotspur axe.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that the constant change in managers within the Premier League is a "worrying" sign for English football.

Tim Sherwood is the second manager to leave the top flight following the close of the 2013-14 season after Tottenham Hotspur opted to sack the 45-year-old on Tuesday.

Pepe Mel left West Bromwich Albion by mutual consent on Monday, while Sam Allardyce's position at West Ham United is believed to be in doubt.

When asked in a press conference for his thoughts on Sherwood's dismissal, Wenger said: "It's always sad news when somebody loses his job, and the only thing that looks a bit worrying is that the the speed of rotation level in the Premier League gets quicker and quicker, and that's not a very good sign for the Premier League."

Wenger reiterated that he intends to extend his stay as Arsenal manager.
