Arsene Wenger is "confident" that Arsenal will finish in the top four by the close of the Premier League season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is "confident" that his players can win enough games to secure Champions League football for next season.

The Gunners are now just two points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea in the Premier League table following Saturday's 4-1 victory over Reading.

"We have one target, to win our games," Wenger told the club's official website. "You cannot always look around you and see what the other teams do. Just play well and win your games.

"The best way to win games is to play well. Let's keep that spirit, that attitude, that confidence, and we have a great chance. We want to do it and I'm confident we will."

The North London outfit have eight games left to reach their target.
