Arsene Wenger condemns actions of Arsenal fans who ripped Tottenham hoardings

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says that the club does not want any "violence" after a group of fans were spotted tearing down Tottenham Hotspur hoardings at White Hart Lane.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has criticised the supporters who tore down Tottenham Hotspur hoardings following the Gunners' victory over their North London rivals in the third round of the Capital One Cup in midweek.

Mathieu Flamini scored twice to snatch a 2-1 victory for Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Wednesday.

However, the result was marred by the actions of a group of Arsenal fans, who ripped hoardings which were displayed in the away end.

Police got involved and now both Premier League clubs are working together in order to find the culprits.

"We cooperate completely with the authorities to sort that out," Wenger said in today's press conference. "We don't want any violence. I don't really know what happened but we are the disposal of the authorities to help them to sort it out."

After the match, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that 10 people overall were arrested for various offences.
