Theo Walcott nears new contract

Theo Walcott is close to agreeing a new contract at Arsenal, according to The Mirror.

The 22-year-old had recently been linked with a move to Italian side Juventus during the summer.

However, the Gunners are believed to be keen to keep hold of the winger and will offer him fresh terms to remain at the Emirates Stadium.

Walcott joined Arsenal in 2006 from Southampton.
