Takehiro Tomiyasu has reportedly had his work permit approved and is therefore available to make his Arsenal debut in Saturday's Premier League clash with Norwich City.
The 22-year-old was strongly linked with Tottenham Hotspur over the summer but ultimately completed a move to the Emirates Stadium from Bologna in the final stages of the transfer window.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta admitted on Thursday afternoon that the recent arrival was still waiting for his work permit and could miss out on the chance to feature against the Canaries.
However, according to the Evening Standard, the Japan international has now received his work permit and is available for Saturday's fixture with Daniel Farke's side.
Tomiyasu, who has signed a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium, scored three times and registered three assists in 64 appearances for Bologna ahead of a move to North London.
Arsenal have lost all three of their Premier League matches at the start of the 2021-22 campaign without scoring a single goal.
