Former Arsenal player Stewart Robson believes that Olivier Giroud is a good signing for the club.
After weeks of speculation, the Gunners finally completed the signing of last season's Ligue 1 top scorer on Tuesday for a fee of around £12m from French champions Montpellier HSC.
Robson thinks that the 25-year-old, who played three times at Euro 2012, has all the right attributes to be a success in the Premier League.
"I think it's a good signing," he told talkSPORT.
"I've seen Giroud play for France and Montpellier and he's an all-round striker. He's not got pace but he's got enough athleticism to get in behind people. He's very good in the air and his link-up play is good."
Giroud, who becomes Arsenal's second summer signing after Lukas Podolski, scored 21 goals in 36 appearances in Ligue 1 last season.
