Aaron Ramsey heaps praise on "remarkable" Arsene Wenger

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey believes that Arsene Wenger's ability to turn young talent into world-class players is "quite remarkable".

Aaron Ramsey has revealed that working under the watch of Arsene Wenger was the reason he chose Arsenal over Manchester United.

The Wales international had a choice between the two Premier League giants in 2008, but opted to make a £5m switch to the Gunners from Cardiff City.

Ramsey has since gone on to thrive at the Emirates Stadium, despite suffering a major injury setback two years after joining, which he believes is largely down to the work of French boss Wenger.

"[Wenger] likes to get young kids with talent and natural ability and turn them into world-class players," he told ESPN. "He's done that on many occasions in the past - he'll continue doing that.

"His experience, knowing how to deal with [young players] is quite remarkable. He gets his satisfaction from seeing them develop as a player - and as a person as well - and gives them information on the pitch, and opportunities to go out there, play, and express themselves".

Ramsey made 41 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions last season, scoring 10 goals from his midfield position.
