Freddie Ljungberg to take over at Malmo?

Malmo have reportedly offered Freddie Ljungberg the opportunity to become their new manager.

After a spell working with Arsenal Under-23s, Ljungberg was placed in interim charge of the first team when Unai Emery was sacked at the end of last month.

However, with Mikel Arteta having now been appointed on a full-time basis, it is unclear whether the Swede will remain at the North London side.

According to Sportal, Malmo are ready to hand the former midfielder a chance to return to take on one of the biggest jobs in his homeland.

Despite having led the club to the last 32 of the Europa League, Uwe Rosler left his position in the dugout last week.
