Arsenal are reportedly set to be without defender Ben White for a while after he suffered a hamstring injury.
The 28-year-old has dropped down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta this season and has struggled for regular game time, making only four appearances in the Premier League.
The England defender started in Arsenal's 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Emirates Stadium on Saturday but limped off in the 31st minute.
Myles Lewis-Skelly replaced White, and Arteta confirmed after the game that the injury was a suspected hamstring problem.
According to a report from BBC Sport, White could be out for a minimum of one month, although the Gunners are still awaiting final confirmation of the extent of the muscle injury.
More injury problems for Arsenal in defence
White's injury has come at a bad time for the Gunners as they prepare for a congested period of four fixtures in 10 days.
Gabriel Magalhaes picked up an injury during the last international break, and the Brazilian is expected to be out of action until the end of the year.
Cristhian Mosquera has also been ruled out until the middle of January 2026 due to an ankle injury, further compounding Arsenal's injury woes.
White is not only a highly experienced defender but can also play in multiple roles, and his absence could hurt the Gunners in the short term.
Arsenal maintain enviable consistency despite injury blows
After suffering a shock defeat against Aston Villa, the Gunners bounced back strongly with back-to-back wins against Club Brugge (Champions League) and Wolves (Premier League).
Arsenal will travel to Everton in the Premier League clash against Everton before taking on Crystal Palace in the League Cup, where William Saliba and Jurrien Timber are likely to forge a central defensive partnership.
After finishing second for three seasons in a row, the Gunners are one of the favourites for the league title, and they have shown tremendous consistency so far and have taken a two-point lead at the top of the table.
