Team News: Aaron Ramsey starts for Arsenal against Manchester City

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey starts for the Gunners in the EFL Cup final against Manchester City.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey starts for the Gunners in the EFL Cup final against Manchester City this afternoon.

The Welshman was facing a race to be fit ahead of the final due to a groin injury, but he has been chosen by Arsene Wenger alongside Mesut Ozil, who has recovered from illness to make the starting lineup.

In defence, Calum Chambers and Hector Bellerin start, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang features up top after being ineligible in the Europa League.

For Manchester City, Danilo replaces Fabian Delph at left-back after the latter picked up a suspension in the club's FA Cup defeat to Wigan Athletic, while Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan partner Kevin De Bruyne in midfield.

Up front, Raheem Sterling misses out through a muscle injury, so David Silva starts alongside Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane instead.

There is also a place on the bench for Gabriel Jesus, who has recovered from a knee injury he suffered in December.

Arsenal: Ospina; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Chambers, Monreal; Xhaka, Wilshere, Ramsey; Ozil; Aubameyang
Subs: Cech, Kolasinac, Mertesacker, Elneny, Maitland-Niles, Iwobi, Welbeck

Manchester City: Bravo; Walker, Kompany, Otamendi, Danilo; Fernandinho, Silva, Gundogan; De Bruyne, Sane, Aguero
Subs: Ederson, Stones, Laporte, Bernardo, Zinchenko, Foden, Jesus
