Arsenal's Jack Wilshere in line for squad return for Crystal Palace match

Arsene Wenger reveals that Jack Wilshere could be in the squad for Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace, but is unlikely to start.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Jack Wilshere is likely to be in the squad for tomorrow's Premier League match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The midfielder has not played since November due to an ankle injury, and while the England international could be named in the matchday squad this weekend, he is unlikely to start.

"He is a bit ahead of schedule because he has worked hard," Wenger said in this morning's press conference. "I cannot tell you whether Jack Wilshere will start. I've not picked the team definitely. It's difficult to come back immediately."

The Gunners are currently fifth in the league table, one point behind fourth-placed Southampton.
