Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny out of action for three weeks with hamstring injury

Laurent Koscielny out for three weeks

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that defender Laurent Koscielny is expected to be on the treatment table for three weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Frenchman was expected to miss Sunday's Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford, but it seems as though the defender will miss a few more fixtures.

Koscielny, who has been a dominant figure in the Gunners' defence this season, suffered the injury during his side's 3-2 defeat to Olympiacos in Tuesday's Champions League game.

In this morning's press conference, Wenger confirmed that a three-week layoff is likely for Koscielny, meaning that the 30-year-old will miss France's friendlies against Armenia and Denmark on October 9 and 12 respectively.

Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta have also been ruled out of this weekend's match, but Francis Coquelin should be fit.
