Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Ham United

Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Ham

Arsenal will be looking to build upon their FA Cup fifth-round victory over Portsmouth as they welcome West Ham United to the Emirates on Saturday in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta's side will have to prioritise the league should they have any hope of qualifying for next season's Champions League following a dismal defeat to Olympiacos in the Europa League round of 32, and the North London outfit currently sit 10th in the table.

However, the Gunners have chalked up back-to-back league victories against Everton and Newcastle United at the Emirates in recent weeks, and are only five points behind fifth-placed Manchester United with a game in hand.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the London derby.

Lucas Torreira

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Lucas Torreira was forced off on a stretcher during Arsenal's victory over Portsmouth, and left Fratton Park in a brace. The Uruguay international will be assessed over the coming days but is not expected to return anytime soon.

Sead Kolasinac

Status: Out Type of injury: Shoulder Possible return date: April 4 (vs. Norwich City)

Sead Kolasinac had only just returned from another problem when he suffered a "significant shoulder injury" against Everton last weekend. The Bosnian is aiming to return to full training by the end of the month, and could return to first-team action in April.

Calum Chambers

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Calum Chambers suffered a torn ACL at the end of last year against Chelsea. The defender has undergone successful surgery but will not feature again this season.

Kieran Tierney

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Shoulder Possible return date: March 7 (vs. West Ham)

Kieran Tierney has now returned to training after suffering a dislocated shoulder against West Ham in December. Arteta has confirmed that the Scotland international is making good progress and there is a slim chance he could be involved at the weekend.

Cedric Soares

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Cedric Soares is yet to make his debut for Arsenal having arrived from Southampton in January while carrying a knee injury, and is aiming to return to full training next week.
