Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Everton

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Everton

Arsenal will be bidding to return to winning ways on Saturday afternoon when they head to struggling Everton in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta's side will enter this contest off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup last Friday.

The Gunners have won their last two in the Premier League against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, though, and they currently sit five points clear of second-placed Man City at the top of the table, with a game in hand on Pep Guardiola's side.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Everton, who are currently 19th in the division on 15 points.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: February 4 (vs. Everton)

Emile Smith Rowe recently made his return from a groin injury, but he was left out of the clash with Man City due to a thigh issue, so he is a major doubt for this weekend's contest.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: March 4 (vs. Bournemouth)

Gabriel Jesus remains on the sidelines recovering from knee surgery, but the Brazil international could potentially be available for the Gunners at the start of March.

Reiss Nelson

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Reiss Nelson picked up a hamstring injury during Arsenal's clash with Juventus on December 17; the attacker is making progress in his recovery but is not yet ready to be considered for a return to the squad.

Mohamed Elneny

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Arsenal announced on Tuesday that Mohamed Elneny has undergone knee surgery, with the Egypt international expected to be unavailable for the remainder of the campaign.

Thomas Partey

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Ribs Possible return date: February 4 (vs. Everton)

Thomas Partey had to be replaced during the FA Cup clash with Man City last time out due to a rib injury, but the Gunners are hopeful that he will have recovered in time for this match.
