Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Burnley

Arsenal will be looking to extend their unbeaten start to 2020 when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta's side have won three and drawn three of their six games since the turn of the year, although they have not picked up maximum points in a Premier League match since New Year's Day.

The Gunners secured their progress into the fifth round of the FA Cup by beating Bournemouth on Sunday, but they remain 10th in the Premier League table with 10 points now separating them from the Champions League places.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the visit to Burnley.

Shkodran Mustafi

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Shkodran Mustafi was stretchered off during Monday night's win over Bournemouth with an ankle injury, but scans revealed that the injury was not as bad as first feared. The centre-back will miss this match, but is expected to be sidelined for weeks rather than months.

Calum Chambers

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Calum Chambers will not feature again this season after suffering a knee ligament injury which is expected to keep him out until August at the earliest.

Kieran Tierney

Status: Out Type of injury: Shoulder Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Brighton & Hove Albion)

Kieran Tierney has not fared well on the injury front since his summer move to Arsenal, and he is currently sidelined until mid-March with a dislocated shoulder.

Reiss Nelson

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Newcastle United)

Arteta has confirmed that Reiss Nelson is unlikely to feature again until after the winter break, meaning that he could be back in time for the match against Newcastle next month.

Sead Kolasinac

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: February 16 (vs. Newcastle United)

Sead Kolasinac has missed the last three games through injury and is expected to miss at least one more, with Arteta confirming that the full-back is also likely to return after the upcoming winter break.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match, with both captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and David Luiz available to return having now completed their respective bans.
