Arsene Wenger unsure over FA Cup final team selection

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits that he does not yet know who will start this weekend's FA Cup final against Aston Villa.

Wojciech Szczesny has been left sweating on his FA Cup final place, after Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to confirm a starting spot for the Poland international.

The 25-year-old lost his place in the Gunners' first team earlier this year on the back of a number of slack displays, although he has played in the last four rounds of Arsenal's Wembley cup run.

However, Wenger may be tempted to throw David Ospina into the mix for the final against Aston Villa on Saturday, while Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere may also be overlooked.

"What is important is that we do not make too many individual cases before the cup final," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "It's the whole team who can win it.

"I don't know who will start yet and it's not important because it's just on the day in the FA Cup final. What is important is that you bring the trophy back. It's always a concern for the whole squad."

Szczesny was overlooked for last season's final, which saw Arsenal claim a 3-2 victory over Hull City, with Wenger showing faith in cup goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.
