Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger praises Gus Poyet and believes that his side's FA Cup match against Brighton will be more like a Premier League game.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised the job that Gus Poyet has done since taking charge of Brighton & Hove Albion.

Wenger's side will take on Brighton in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday knowing that the Seagulls have already beaten a Premier League side, Newcastle United, in this season's competition.

The Frenchman believes that their clash with Poyet's men will be more like a typical Premier League match than an FA Cup one.

"Poyet has done very well because he got them promotion and in a position where they can challenge for the playoffs," Wenger said.

"I have seen the game against Newcastle. They played a Premier League game.

"Brighton play out from the back, have a lot of possession and a big South American influence with their manager, the players they have, and the way they play, so you know you face a typical away game in the Premier League."

Wenger has also said that his side are fully focused on progressing into the next round of the competition.
