Jack Wilshere claims that Arsenal must improve, despite sealing their progress in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Jack Wilshere has admitted that Arsenal must improve, despite sealing their progress in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The midfielder was on the scoresheet at the Emirates Stadium as the Gunners saw off Montpellier 2-0 to book their place in the last 16.

"We're pleased - it was a tough game," said Wilshere.

"We have to step it up. Tonight wasn't good enough, especially the first half. We'll watch the game and work on our weaknesses. We've got to play the best teams in the competition to win it."

Arsenal will have the chance to top Group B with victory in Greece against Olympiakos on December 4.
