Arsene Wenger: 'Arsenal will attack Olympiacos'

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists that his team will attack Olympiacos in their vital Champions League match against the Greek side this Wednesday.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that his team will go on the offensive in their crucial Champions League tie with Olympiacos on Wednesday.

The Gunners need to beat the Greek side by two goals or more at the Karaiskakis Stadium to ensure their passage into the knockout stages of the competition and avoid a first exit in the group stages since the 1999-2000 season.

Arsenal will drop into the Europa League if they fail to get the right result against the Greek champions, and Wenger has said that he is keen to keep the club's long-standing record of making it out of the group intact.

"Personally the record means a lot because it's important for the club and for the players. I want to win and I want to qualify. For me our job is to win the next game, and do what is requested," the Frenchman told the club's official website.

"There is one positive thing for us - we know exactly what we have to do. We know that we have to go for it from the start. So let's do that and hopefully we can get through."

Arsenal lost 3-2 to Olympiacos at the Emirates Stadium when the sides last met in October.
