Wojciech Szczesny "rested" by Arsenal

Wojciech Szczesny is left out of the Arsenal squad for tomorrow's match against Bayern Munich.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has decided to rest goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny for tomorrow's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

The Polish international is regarded by many to be Arsenal's number one keeper, but it has been deemed necessary that he takes a break.

A short statement on the club's official website read: "Wojciech Szczesny has been rested."

His absence will mean that either Lukasz Fabianski or Vito Mannone will keep goal at the Allianz Arena.
