Oxlade-Chamberlain: 'Balance key to win'

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain believes that 'getting the balance right' was the key to Arsenal's 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this evening.

After a disappointing run of results, the Gunners went into the game knowing that a win would guarantee their progress to the knockout stages.

Goals from Yaya Sanogo and Alexis Sanchez secured the points for Arsene Wenger's side and keep alive their hopes of topping Group D.

"I think it was really big for us. Obviously the last few games both in the league and our last Champions League game we had some disappointing results so we knew it was important that we came out tonight and made a good comeback," Oxlade-Chamberlain told Sky Sports News.

"Obviously you always give yourself a chance to win when you don't concede and we knew that was really important. All over the pitch we've got to defend better and tonight we got that right I think.

"We knew they were a massive threat on the counter attack with a lot of pace so we knew we couldn't get carried away going forward too much, but I think we had the balance right tonight and we scored some good goals at the other end."

Arsenal travel to Turkey to face Galatasaray in their final group-stage fixture on Tuesday December 9.
