Arouca, Tondela battle out draw following Romario Balde, Ivo Rodrigues goals

Mid-table Arouca and struggling Tondela fought out a 1-1 draw in the Portuguese Primeira Liga this evening.

Following a quiet first half, 18-year-old Benfica loanee Romario Balde put the visitors ahead three minutes into the second.

The lead lasted just 12 minutes, however, with Porto loanee Ivo Rodrigues equalising for the Arouquenses with his first goal of the season.

While that was the last of the goals, Tondela forward Dolly Menga was sent off in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time for a second yellow card.

The result leaves Arouca ninth in the Primeira Liga, while Tondela are still looking for their second win of the season in 16th position.
