PSV Eindhoven "in talks" with Mark van Bommel

PSV Eindhoven's sporting director Marcel Brands has claimed that the club have discussed terms with AC Milan midfielder Mark van Bommel.

The Dutch international, who is out contract at the San Siro in the summer, spent six seasons with PSV until 2005.

With the Rossoneri yet to offer Van Bommel a new deal, PSV have sounded out the 34-year-old about a return to his homeland.

"The ball is now in Mark's court. We are in talks," Brands told Eindhovens Dagblad.

Van Bommel has also played for Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
