Franck Kessie had fired the Rossoneri ahead at the Stadio Olimpico.

Joaquin Correa fired a stoppage-time equaliser to clinch Lazio a 1-1 home draw against Serie A rivals AC Milan.

The Argentinian midfielder rescued his side a deserved point in the fourth minute of time added on after Franck Kessie had given Milan a second-half lead.

Correa's last-gasp leveller keeps Lazio in fourth place, one point and a place above Milan in the table.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Marco Parolo both had early chances for Lazio and Milan Badelj fired wide following a corner.

Milan responded through Hakan Calhanoglu, whose angled shot was brilliantly saved by Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.

But the home side carried the greater threat. Ciro Immobile and Milinkovic-Savic both failed to keep efforts on target from promising positions.

Calhanoglu skied another effort for the visitors before Immobile's low shot forced Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma into a full-length save.

Lazio twice went close to breaking the deadlock before half-time when Adam Marusic and Parolo both saw efforts fly narrowly wide.

Milan were indebted to Donnarumma again soon after the restart when he turned away Luis Alberto's shot.

Both sides continued to create chances. Milan forward Fabio Borini's header was well saved by Strakosha and at the other end Parolo snatched at another attempt from in front of goal.

Borini was again denied by Strakosha, this time from outside the area, and Cristian Zapata headed just off target for Milan.

Lazio went close to taking the lead when Wallace's header was saved by Donnarumma but the hosts soon found themselves a goal down.

Kessie was teed up by Davide Calabria outside the box in the 78th minute and crashed an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.

Lazio launched a late assault to try and salvage the game and Immobile saw his header superbly saved again by the sprawling Donnarumma.

But in the fourth minute of added time Correa came to their rescue, finding space enough on the edge of the area and arrowing an equaliser into the bottom corner.
