Phil Jackson: 'New York Knicks may struggle early next season'

New York Knicks general manager Phil Jackson believes that it may take time for the club's new players to connect on the court next season.

New York Knicks general manager Phil Jackson has conceded that his side could struggle in the early stages of next season.

The Knicks endured their worst campaign in their history last term when they posted a 17-65 record.

Jackson and head coach Derek Fisher addressed the issue by signing several players over the course of the off-season, but he has warned that it could take time for the team to connect.

"We have a number of new players, so they may struggle early as they learn how to play with each other," Jackson told ESPN.

"Where we end up as the season progresses is an unknown, but we have improved our roster and have a chance to be a good team."

Jackson was named general manager of the Knicks last year.
