Malaga continue to impress in the new La Liga season as they defeat Levante 3-1 at home on Saturday.

Malaga have continued their impressive start to the 2012-13 La Liga season with a 3-1 victory over Levante at home on Saturday.

The hosts broke the deadlock in the 27th minute when Javier Saviola latched on to Isco's through ball to slot it home from close range.

Levante restored parity a minute into the second half when Michel found the target with a right-footed shot from outside the box.

However, Malaga were back in front in the 58th minute, as Saviola found Joaquin with a through ball and the Spanish winger comfortably scored his side's second goal of the afternoon.

Malaga were reduced to 10 men in the 87th minute when defender Sergio Sanchez was sent off for a second bookable offence.

But that did not affect the home team as Francisco Portillo netted Malaga's third goal of the afternoon in the third minute of injury time to wrap up a 3-1 win.
