Williams sisters withdraw from Wimbledon women's doubles

Serena and Venus Williams pull out of competing at the women's doubles at Wimbledon for unknown reasons and are replaced by Misaki Doi and Stephanie Vogt.

Serena and Venus Williams have opted to withdraw from the women's doubles at Wimbledon.

The sisters have not disclosed their reasoning for pulling out of the competition, although both women are still competing in the singles tournament.

The duo played in the doubles during last year's competition, but were forced to withdraw in the second round when Serena struggled with a bout of sickness.

Misaki Doi and Stephanie Vogt have been promoted to take the Williams' place in the competition.

The Williams sisters last won the doubles title in 2012.
