St Helens lock Lance Hohaia has accepted a one-match ban for striking Wigan Warriors prop Ben Fowler during the Super League Grand Final on Saturday.

Flower retaliated by punching Hohaia twice, which led to him being sent off and charged with a Grade F offence.

The Welshman was sent off with just two minutes played at Old Trafford after he responded to Hohaia's strike by punching the St Helens man twice, with the second punch landing while his opponent was knocked out on the ground.

Hohaia was charged with a Grade B offence for his role in the altercation.

Flower, who issued an apology for his actions, faces an RFL disciplinary hearing this evening.

St Helens beat their fierce rivals 14-6.
