Wolverhampton Wanderers sign striker Daniel Armstrong

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed former Hamilton Academical striker Daniel Armstrong on a three-year deal, with the option of a further year.

The 18-year-old had been on trial at the West Midlands outfit, having left the Accies academy earlier this year.

Speaking to the club's official website, Armstrong said: "It's amazing. I've been so impressed with everything that's happened. It's a great place and it feels like the right place for me.

"When I got here everybody was so nice, they made me feel comfortable and I felt that, if I play the way I know I can play, then I'd be given the chance to push on as much as I can.

"I'm looking forward to meeting a new group of players and a different challenge. I just want to kick on and push myself into that Under-21s team as fast as I can."

Armstrong will join up with Wolves' Under-21s side, coached by former Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Scott Sellars.
