Wolverhampton Wanderers keen on Watford forward Ryan Cassidy?

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly considering an approach for Watford youngster Ryan Cassidy.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified Watford youngster Ryan Cassidy as a potential signing.

Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to add a new forward to his squad before the end of the January transfer window, although it remains unclear whether the Portuguese will be prepared to push through a deal before Thursday night.

However, according to The Mirror, Wolves are contemplating an approach for Watford prospect Cassidy, who has been tipped to eventually make the breakthrough into the first team at Vicarage Road.

The Republic of Ireland Under-17 international has been in free-scoring form for the youth sides at the Hornets, and appearances have also been made for the Under-23 team.

Cassidy has a contract at Watford until 2020, but it remains to be seen whether the club would entertain any significant bids for the player should he not further extend his stay.

Wolves are looking to produce first-team players from their academy setup, and Cassidy would likely be regarded as a valuable addition to the Under-23 side.
