Georg Margreitter leaves Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolverhampton Wanderers confirm the exit of Georg Margreitter after cancelling his contract at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that they have cancelled the contract of defender Georg Margreitter.

The 26-year-old joined from Austria Vienna for £500,000 in 2012 but played just three games during his time at Molineux.

He was loaned to FC Copenhagen in the 2013-14 campaign where he was reunited with Stale Solbakken, who signed him for Wolves.

"Margreitter would like to thank everyone at Wolves, and the club would like to wish him all the best for the future," Wolves said in a statement.

Margreitter spent three months on loan at Chesterfield last season, where he made 14 appearances.
