Deal taking Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio to Wolves to be revived?

Patricio to Wolves deal to be revived?

Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio has allegedly completed a medical with Wolverhampton Wanderers, suggesting that a transfer could remain on track.

On Friday, details emerged over Patricio's efforts to cancel his contract with Sporting after president Bruno De Carvalho opted to pull the plug on a potential switch to Molineux, claiming that super-agent Jorge Mendes was attempting to 'manipulate' the deal.

However, Mendes's company Gestifude rejected that accusation and suggested that De Carvalho had made an effort to resurrect the deal, with Record now claiming that the transfer could be revived.

The report suggests that with Patricio having already undergone a medical, Sporting will give the green light for a €20m (£17.49m) deal to go through providing that their long-serving stopper withdraws his effort to end his deal with the club.

Patricio is said to have seven days to choose against proceeding with those attempts or else the two parties may have to go to court to settle the matter.
