Milan: 'Wolves have asked about Silva'

AC Milan sporting director Massimo Mirabelli has revealed that both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Galatasaray are interested in signing Andre Silva.

Milan spent €38m to sign Silva on a five-year contract from Porto last summer, but the Portugal international has struggled to make an impact in Serie A.

Wolves have been frequently linked with an approach for the 22-year-old, and although Mirabelli has confirmed the interest from the Premier League side, the Italian giants will bide their time before making a decision on the attacker's future.

Mirabelli told Milan TV: "We spent a lot of money for 22 year-old Andre Silva. [Gennaro] Gattuso will test him during the training camp and then we will decide. If it does not work, we will sell or loan him.

"Clubs must remember that we paid €38m (£34m) for him. There are two clubs currently in contact with us: Wolverhampton and Galatasaray. Both show interest in Andre Silva, but we have asked for time."

Silva scored a total of 10 goals in 40 appearances last season.
