Kevin McDonald 'training with Wolves U18s'

Woleverhampton Wanderers midfielder Kevin McDonald trains with the Under-18s amid reported interest from Rangers.

Kevin McDonald reportedly trained with the Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-18s squad this week amid rumours of a falling-out with the club's hierarchy.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined the Midlands side following their relegation to League One in 2013 and was named the fans' and players' player of the season as the club romped to the title with a record points total for the third tier.

McDonald was an ever-present in Wolves' flirtation with the Championship playoffs in 2014-15, leading to links with Fulham last summer, but subsequently committed to a new three-year contract.

In recent weeks, however, McDonald has fallen out of favour with manager Kenny Jackett and, according to the Express & Star, trained with the Under-18s side on Tuesday after being left out of the 19-man squad that travelled to MK Dons.

The newspaper claims that McDonald has recently been the subject of interest from Rangers, who were promoted back to the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday night.
